We were supposed to go to Guimaras, Balaan Bukid to be exact since today is Maundy Thursday. It rained early in the morning and around 9am, the sun is scorching hot. Aunt said Joy doesn't want to go anymore because of the weather thus, we don't have a driver (yes, my 17 year old cousin is the one driving for us most of the time for I only drive motorcycles). I hate being disappointed but I don't let this feeling eat the crap out of me. So I ate a hearty meal with a cup of coffee while talking to Lola and Nang She about the 70's and 80's time where P1 is a huge amount already. Goodness. But hey, I like listening to these stories! Good old times in the past. haha.
So I had my meal and decided to clean my room instead. If I say that my room is a mess, it would be an understatement. My clothes and shoes are piled in different areas of the room. I wonder why I keep on folding and arranging my clothes and just throw them on my bed every time I dress up as if I'm always in a hurry. Useless. This is one thing I hate about myself: I can't always pull out or get my clothes without making all the rest a mess. I'm not used to preparing my clothes ahead whenever I'll be going somewhere. What I ALWAYS do is take a bath and scramble my clothes, try them on and choose whatever goes out with my mood or the weather. *sigh* I actually try my best not to do this but I can't help it. Old habits die hard.
I posted on my facebook account this: "My room is a mess, more like a snake's lare. So Im making my room a room on Maundy Thursday. *little sacrifice" --Sacrifice indeed and I bathed in dust and sweat. Grrr.
I cleaned my windows and changed my curtains. White lace this time. It's weird, white for a room's curtain. Oh oh. I love dark curtains in rooms for I like the ambience, lesser light makes me more comfortable.
My bed had to be re-arranged for Auntie Lhadie will be coming home from Manila next week and she'll sleep in the room (one of the reasons why i had to clean it) with the kids.
I still have to change my beddings! |
The books and journals that I've been hoarding had to be neatly arranged of course and the dresser too.
I opened a site yesterday and saw a sample of a wedding bouquet made of crepe paper, it looked nice that I some flowers and put in a glass mug. HAHA. I miss artworks. :)
Here's the crepe and Japanese paper flowers that I made (and Im going to make more while watching my favorite shows in TLC tonight!♥ )
I'm so happy to see my room neat and I'm so proud of myself.Haha. The real challenge is not cleaning my room but keeping it clean rather. I swear, I'll do my best to keep my room a room for I'm still a lady despite my tomboy ways. :)
I had my lunch, a fast lunch as I will call it and headed to Noreen Internet Station that my cousin Toto owns, named after his daughter Noreen--our kulilit bulilit. Richard is not here so I'm the admin this afternoon. Suits me well, I can email Gabby and blog too! I'm glad we'll be closing early tonight, 8pm for the "Pamalandong" as what we call it here. Because today is Maundy Thursday and Good Friday tomorrow, it's just proper to close early tonight and whole day tomorrow so that people will have time to pray and actually realize the real essence of this special days. That Christ died for us to redeem our sins.
Oh. On my way to the shop, I passed by one of the 14 stations of the cross and people help each other in order that "kapiya" will be finished on time for tomorrow's procession.
And just now, Auntie Nonette dropped by here to give me my merienda, lots of bibingka--a local food popular during Holy Week. I'm actully eating while typing and at the same time, chatting with my friend Jenny.
And my father texted me that they have boiled banana and grilled corn for merienda at home in the farm. I so miss home! I miss my parents and my brother.
So I posted on my facebook (I have this habit of posting and updating my status, cant help it. I ALWAYS update. A habit, okay?)):
"May bunga na mais nmun kg kalabasa. I WASNT HOME THAT LONG?? :(( gaaaaad. Tani Lunes na!"
"I CANT WAIT TO GO HOME SA UMA! It's been almost 2 weeks. :/"
I guess I've written a lot already. It's now time to email my langga and view my favorite wedding and photography sites! :)
God bless us all.
-xoxo
